Lake Sam Rayburn provides some of the finest freshwater fishing in America.  
Its 114,500 acres and 750 miles of shoreline are situated on the Angelina River.
Powell Park Marina on the south end of the lake, has stable year-round fishing conditions.
No matter what the weather, you can always launch your boat at the marina. 
There's something for everyone: fishers, campers, birdwatchers or sun and water lovers.
For golfers, there is an excellent 27-hole golf course  just minutes across the lake.

When you visit Powell Park Marina, you will see an abundance of wildlife. A couple of favorites are the Bald Eagles and Ospreys in the tall pines surrounding the lake.

For golfers, there is an excellent 27-hole golf course at Rayburn Country, just minutes across the lake by boat. Powell Park Marina will make a tee time for you if you call ahead.

For hunters, the facility is just minutes away from Type II, National Forest and Corps of Engineers property, where excellent deer, duck, squirrel and feral hogs may be found.
